Trade Website Prize Draw
Terms and Conditions
Promoter: VG Digital Solutions Limited (company number 17195224), The Stamp Exchange, Westgate Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE1 1SA (“Promoter”). Email info@vgdigitalsolutions.com. Phone 0191 922 2952.
These terms apply to the free prize draw advertised at vgdigitalsolutions.com/win and competition.vgdigitalsolutions.com, and to Facebook posts that link to it. Please read them before you enter. The privacy policy explains how your personal information is used.
1. This is a free prize draw
1.1 Entry is free. You do not have to buy anything, pay a fee, or pay to claim or receive the prize.
1.2 One winner is chosen by chance. Entries are not judged and there is no skill test.
1.3 Because you can enter without paying, this promotion is not a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005 (England, Scotland and Wales) or the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985.
1.4 It opens at 00:01 on 26 September 2026, UK time, and closes at 23:59 on 4 October 2026, UK time. On those dates UK time is British Summer Time. An entry received after the closing time is not valid.
1.5 The draw takes place on 5 October 2026.
1.6 The closing date will not be changed unless circumstances outside the Promoter’s control make a change unavoidable, and the change is not unfair to people who have already entered.
2. Who can enter
2.1 You must be an individual aged 18 or over. You must own or operate a trade or local-service business in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
2.2 A trade or local-service business is a business that does practical work or a local service for customers. Examples include plumbing, electrical work, gas, landscaping, driveways, pressure washing, valeting, building, roofing, plastering and decorating. The Promoter will decide borderline cases reasonably, and in the same way for every entry.
2.3 One entry per person and per business. The same person, the same mobile number, the same email address or the same business name is one entry. The Promoter may also treat entries as one where it is clear they are the same person or the same business. Bulk, automated, purchased or third-party entries are not valid.
2.4 Employees of the Promoter, their immediate family, and anyone professionally involved in running this draw cannot enter.
2.5 The Promoter may ask you to prove your age, your identity, and that the business is a genuine UK trade or local-service business. If you do not provide that proof within 7 days of the request, or the entry was not eligible, the Promoter may disqualify the entry and draw a reserve.
3. How to enter online
3.1 Enter on the official form with your full name, business name, mobile number, email address, trade and main working area. A website is optional.
3.2 You must confirm that you are 18 or over, that you run a UK trade or home-services business, and that you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
3.3 The marketing box is optional. You can enter without ticking it. If you tick it, you agree that VG Digital Solutions Limited may email or text you about trade websites and being found on Google. That tick is not permission for marketing phone calls. You can withdraw it at any time. The Promoter will not make the tick a condition of entry.
3.4 An online entry is complete when the form has been successfully submitted before the closing time. You do not have to click a link in an email to be in the draw.
4. How to enter by post
4.1 You may enter by sending your full name, business name, mobile number, email address, trade, main working area, and the words “Trade Website Prize Draw” on a postcard to:
Trade Website Prize Draw, VG Digital Solutions Limited, The Stamp Exchange, Westgate Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE1 1SA.
4.2 The postcard must arrive by the closing time. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. Use ordinary first or second class post only. Do not use a courier, recorded delivery or any premium-rate phone line. There is no phone entry route.
4.3 A valid postal entry has the same chance of winning as a valid online entry. Please write clearly. The Promoter may reject a postcard that cannot be read.
5. The prize
5.1 There is one prize. Your chance of winning depends on the number of valid entries.
5.2 The prize is a done-for-you professional website for the winner’s UK trade business, including:
- a trade website with Home, Services, Before/After, Portfolio, Contact, a trust section, a service-area map, and a layout that works on mobile phones;
- a .co.uk domain, registered in the winner’s business name, for the first 12 months;
- Google Business Profile set-up, or optimisation of a profile the winner already has;
- a 90-day local SEO campaign for the winner’s main services and area, delivered under the Promoter’s standard 90-day first-page guarantee as published at vgdigitalsolutions.com on the date of the draw;
- hosting for 12 months.
5.3 The prize is a service, not a parcel. It starts once the winner has accepted and has supplied the business information the Promoter reasonably needs, such as services, area, logo and any photos. The website, domain, first 12 months of hosting and the Google Business Profile work will be completed within 30 days of that information being received, unless the winner asks for a later date or delays the information. The SEO runs for 90 days from the start date agreed with the winner, normally the day the site goes live.
5.4 After the first 12 months the winner may keep the site on the Promoter’s hosting by paying the Promoter’s then-current monthly hosting price, or take the site files and the domain to another provider. Hosting after month 12 is not part of the prize. It is not a fee for claiming the prize. The Promoter will tell the winner the price before taking any payment, and will not charge it unless the winner agrees.
5.5 The prize does not include paid Google Ads, printed materials, photography beyond what the winner supplies, trademark registration, or work outside the Promoter’s published website and local SEO service.
5.6 There is no cash alternative. The prize cannot be transferred, except to another person in the same business if the original winner cannot accept it.
5.7 The first-page guarantee is the Promoter’s ordinary service guarantee. Whether a page ranks depends on the information the winner supplies and on factors controlled by Google. The Promoter does not promise a particular position, including position number 1. Words such as “on the first page of Google” describe the aim of the 90-day work. They are not a promise of a ranking.
5.8 If the prize cannot be provided because of circumstances outside the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of a similar type and a similar value, and will tell the winner. The prize will not be swapped for a much smaller sum of cash.
6. The winner
6.1 Valid online entries and valid postal entries go into one list. A duplicate entry counts once.
6.2 On 5 October 2026 the Promoter will choose the winner by a verifiably random computer process, so that each remaining valid entry has an equal chance. If that process cannot be used, the winner will be drawn in front of someone who is independent of the Promoter. The Promoter will keep a record of the method, the date and the time.
6.3 The Promoter will email and text the winner, using the details on the entry, within 48 hours of the draw.
6.4 The winner then has 7 days to accept. If the winner cannot be reached within 48 hours, does not accept within 7 days, is not eligible, or does not provide proof when asked, the Promoter may draw a reserve from the remaining valid entries. A reserve is drawn in the same way, and the same time limits apply.
6.5 The Promoter may publish the winner’s first name, town and trade, to show that the prize was awarded. The winner may object to that publication. An objection does not take the prize away. The Promoter will still keep a private record of who won.
7. Data and marketing
7.1 The Promoter is the controller of the personal information on an entry. The privacy policy explains what is collected, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and the rights you have.
7.2 Entering the draw is not consent to marketing. Emails or texts about trade websites are sent only if you ticked the optional box. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email info@vgdigitalsolutions.com. The Promoter will not use that tick as permission to make marketing phone calls.
7.3 Messages that are needed to run the draw, such as a message that you have won, are service messages. They are not marketing.
8. If something goes wrong
8.1 The Promoter may refuse or disqualify an entry that is late, incomplete, ineligible, fraudulent, or otherwise breaks these terms.
8.2 The Promoter is not responsible for an entry that is lost, late or not received because of a fault in a network, in the entry platform, or in the post, where that is outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
8.3 Nothing in these terms limits the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
8.4 This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Meta, Google, or any other platform. Those companies have no liability for it. You do not have to like, share, tag or comment to enter.
8.5 If fraud, a technical failure, or another event outside the Promoter’s control means the promotion cannot run as planned, the Promoter may suspend or cancel it. If it is fair and practical to do so, the Promoter will still draw a winner from the valid entries received before the problem.
9. Law
9.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep any protection which the law of that country does not allow these terms to take away.
